The Louis Berger Group, Inc. is committed to giving back to the community. The firm embodies this principle by performing pro-bono work for public clients, and encourages adoption of the philosophy by its employees. Some of our current professional pro-bono work includes preparing a Heritage Landscape Plan for Judaculla Rock in Jackson County, North Carolina. The Plan will preserve the historic aspects of the site, enhance public access, and mitigate water runoff and erosion problems, and was created by working with the property owner, Jackson County and Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Other pro-bono work includes a conceptual re-design of an older public park in the Town of Cary, and work to resolve drainage issues on a greenway in the City of Durham. Some of the ways our Raleigh office staff have participated in their community are listed here.
